Accidentally typed in Thing 117!! Must be Freudian--perhaps I am spending too much time learning wikis, tagging, blogging, but at least I have been in the sandbox! PB wiki made it easy--and they have step by steps for setting up wikis--my Wikispace experience was fine, but more trial and error. Plus there--you get to know the concept and project much more intimately.
I was even able to add the calcurriculum page to my Google Reader feed. Why don't we have an RSS feed link built-in?

Week 7, Thing 16
Wikis are fun--I've used Wikispaces at school to create a communication tool for book sharing. Minimal marketing of the product last year, some bribery, but noone picked up on the possibility of students talking to students about books they have read and liked, some of which are from their home library. One of my vows in June was to ramp up the publicity on the concept and seeing other wiki products has certainly shown me the value of that vow.
Advantages of a Ning over a Wiki? Seem similar in scope and purpose--anyone with comments in that area?
