Week 4, Thing 8

Aggregators, RSS Feeds--great fun, let's us be collectors without the physical piles accumulating. I was fortunate in that I already have a personal Google home page (now called iGoogle) onto which Google makes it very easy to add interesting, fun links and it has its own aggregator--easy to use and explore. I spent the majority of the time exploring Bloglines, with which I had no experience. Subscribed and added a few blogs--played with some yoga blogs--mind and body stretch, but the blogs I found were not well written, not stimulating, and full of ads.

What a tutorial though--helping me understand the sophisticated research and timesaving ways for which blogs can be used. I will have to read and reread that tutorial--and need to add its link to my Web 2.0 links page on my blog. Thanks to my CSLA Web 2.0 mentor for that great suggestion. Wonderful idea--keep everything fluid. Taking time but I think I am beginning to break through my linear research walls and am finding a new way to think research.
